It’s so important that repertory theater survives for our heritage of motion pictures,
and showings in 35mm are the only viable path to that end. Does anybody realistically think that all of our significant film heritage of the Twentieth Century, the Century of
Film, will be copied onto “hard drives” for retrospective showings in “first-run” or commercial theaters? We need the “art house” if film art is, indeed, to survive. Would our cultural heritage of art itself survive without a system of art museums? 35mm is
the original, and authentic, “canvas” of the art of the motion picture. Video will always be convenient, but its not the original of a century-worth of cinema art.

35mm it’s the best. Digital projection is a crap… in italy, woody allen’s “To Rome With Love” digital projections is simply a SHAME… image freezing in all cinemas… and others movies have some other problems… we have to stop this!

I have just set up my own private 35mm theatre! My hope is that I can continue to get prints for it for a few years to come….
